Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara was the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 she portrayed the lead role in several television dramas. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial great success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars.
